I am shocked by how much harder it pulls from Stage 1 to Stage 2. Anyway set off and got stuck in rush hour traffic so the car just behaved as it did when it was stock, with the valves closed its probably slightly louder than a stock C However open the valves in the exhaust it is much louder with a really deep V8 grumble. Once I finally got out of the traffic and onto the motorway I noticed at mph with the valves on the exhaust closed there was a bit of a drone, but only at these speeds so below or slightly above no issues.

When you floor it just digs in and accelerates in 3 rd as a standard car accelerates in 1 st it really does take your breath away. And the noise of the charger screaming and the exhaust note are intoxicating. I love it with the valves closed The rate at how it accelerates at any speed is breath taking and really does push you hard into the seat and you have to stay alert to how quickly the speedo is climbing.

I assume you get a traditional supercharger whine, but does it detract in anyway from the distinctive AMG sound? In low down revs you get a subdued wine but once it's above rpm it sounds incredible the induction roar and whine from the supercharger. It still has that deep V8 rumble again at the lower revs but since fitting the headers it now sounds like an old school American muscle car.

The IPE valved exhaust makes a massive difference from fairly subdued to just insane.

The single cast unit and appropriately sized rotating group eliminates potential leak points and allows for a slim, compact design without sacrificing key airflow design characteristics.

The unit features a high velocity flow path through the supercharger rotors and an unrestricted discharge port into the appropriately sized plenum. The large plenum equalizes flow across all ports as air feeds evenly through the low-pressure-drop, dual internal air-to-water charge air coolers. Finally, the ports are separated into individual runners, offering greater operation by eliminating cross-fire.

The dual internal charge air coolers offer technological advances shared by Formula 1 teams around the globe. Each unit features a louvered fin design, which minimizes pressure drop while achieving excellent cooling effectiveness. The extruded multi-rib tubing maximizes heat extraction to be carried away through the large bore coolant re-circulation hard lines.

Seems safe and reliable power too. I remember when I had my VXR8 and so many people were getting supercharger conversions. These really did turn the car into what it should have been in the first place. I'd love to see how a C63 ends up when converted.
